A Word about Our Woods:
Teak wood is an extremely dense coarse grained hardwood and is widely known for its durability. Our teak product is made from environmentally friendly Plantation Teak in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Plantation is regulated by an Indonesian Government agency which set guidelines as to the number and size of trees which can be harvested, as well as the number of trees that can be replanted for future generations.
Chinese Oak is a dense finer grained hardwood about 5% harder than Red Oak. This wood is light brown and some boards have a light pinkish tint to them. Chinese Oak is more durable material than Red Oak and is ideal for outdoor use. The tannic acid in the wood protects it from fungi and insect attacks. Because of their weather enduring qualities our outdoor furniture pieces are able to bring long lasting enjoyment to any backyard enthusiast.
