Most of our teak furniture pieces are finished with light teak oil, the oak with light oil, to seal them and give a lovely finished look and feel. You will not have the need to replace the beautiful rocking chair or extension picnic table (if that’s your choice) for a long time.
A Word about Our Woods:
Teak wood is an extremely dense coarse grained hardwood and is widely known for its durability. Our teak product, (including our extension picnic table and comfortable rocking chairs for your patio) is made from environmentally friendly Plantation Teak in Indonesia. The Plantation is regulated by an Indonesian Government agency which set guidelines as to the number and size of trees which can be harvested, as well as the number of trees that can be replanted for future generations.
Chinese Oak is a dense finer grained hardwood about 5% harder than Red Oak. This wood is light brown and some boards have a light pinkish tint to them. chinese oak is more durable material than red oak and is ideal for outdoor use (check out our selection of lovely lounge chairs, rocking chairs and benches). The tannic acid in our oak furniture protects them from fungi and insect attacks. Because of their weather enduring qualities our outdoor furniture pieces are able to bring long lasting satisfaction to any backyard enthusiast.
